Our white oak is pale yellowish-brown to mid-brown, often with a reddish tint, typically straight grain with a medium to coarse texture. White Oak is one of the most widely used hardwoods from America.

Takes glue, nails and screws well, however pre-boring is recommended. Can be finished to a very high standard with the use of oils, stains, waxes etc. Due it’s relatively low moisture content, the timber can be susceptible to movement in variable humidity environments, making it unsuitable for external use.
