Treated Timber

All our treated timber is timber which has been impregnated with Tanalith E wood preservative under controlled conditions in a vacuum pressure impregnation plant.

This treatment gives long-term protection of the timber against fungal and insect attack, for both in and out of ground contact applications.

Tanalith E wood preservatives are cleared for use under the UK Control of Pesticides Regulations and the Pesticide Control Service in Eire. They do not contain chromium or arsenic.

Following impregnation, a series of reactions take place between the wood preservative and the wood structure so that the wood preservative becomes? fixed? and cannot easily be removed from the timber.

Typical uses for Tanalith E treated timber include general construction, leisure and ground contact timbers.
